The Ultimate Reset-PHASE 1

This is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a while, but was too chicken.  When a customer of mine reached out asking if I had ever done it and said she was considering, I thought it was the perfect opportunity-we would do it together!  We both were excited about the added accountability and support.

So what exactly IS the Ultimate Reset?

Why have I chosen to do the Ultimate Reset?  

First off, it’s been something I’ve always considered doing because people have AMAZING results!  They report weight loss, increased energy, better digestion, sleep better, and when they are done their metabolism is revved up.  Those all sounded fantastic to me!

Second, since the beginning of June, our household has been working hard to go GMO-Free, organic and to basically just try and eliminate pesticides, chemicals and artificial flavoring from our diet. After reading the book The Unhealthy Truth  by Robyn O’Brien, I learned about all the negative affects processed foods are having on our bodies for years, and how they attribute to weight gain and a host of other issues.

Third, I am hoping this helps to ease my endometriosis symptoms. I have been dealing with Endometriosis symptoms for years and they seem to have gotten worse recently. I’m trying to avoid having surgery again, because it is not pleasant.

 

What I’ve learned is that access estrogen increases cell growth which can make symptoms worse. The normal American diet includes a lot of animal products, and unless they are organic, they are loaded with growth hormones which can make symptoms worse. High levels of body fat also make symptoms worse.  I’m a vegetarian, so I have that going for me, however, I eat a lot of dairy. So I’m hoping that by going dairy-free for 21 days during the Ultimate Reset, I’ll be able to get a feel for if I should make that a permanent dietary switch.

 

It has to be right for you because it’s a big commitment. You have to be ready to meal prep and be really organized. You have to eat at certain increments and take a few supplements 30 minutes before eating.  Unfortunately I will be traveling 2 of the 3 weekends of this which means I’ll be prepping like crazy! This is 100% worth it to me, two days in and I’m feeling lighter, less sluggish, etc. Oh, and I’m down almost 4 lbs. already too!

This salad is AWESOME!!  I have had it for lunch 2 days in a row. It’s going to be a staple in our house for sure!

GINGER SESAME MISO DRESSING

-2 tbs miso paste
-1/4 cup rice vinegar
-1 tbs Bragg Liquid Aminos
-1/4 cup sesame oil

-1 tsp chopped ginger -1/4 cup water

Place it all in a blender and blend until smooth. One serving is 2 tbs.
