3 Week 5K Training Program

I will be completing my first 5K IN A WHILE on June 3rd. I am not a runner, but it’s for a great cause benefiting the fire department in my town. The North Freedom Fire Department in North Freedom, WI does so many amazing things for our elementary school and students, how could I not participate! Not only do they frequently visit our students, providing them with fire safety training and resources, but they also provide training to staff and a safe place of refuge in the event of a disaster or evacuation. At first I was going to just be a participant, but then my competitiveness kicked in and I decided that I wanted to go for FIRST PLACE in my age bracket for the fancy medal. I can easily run 3 miles, but at a snails pace. I need to step it up! So I searched for a training program that I could complete in the next three weeks that focuses on improving speed. I will also be completing the last week of the Brazil Butt Lift program this week, and starting Insanity Asylum the following week. I realize it’s a lot to take on, and going to be much longer than my typical 30 minute workouts, but I’m up for the challenge! I’m going to do the best I can, try to keep up with the workouts and hope that the weather cooperates for outdoor runs.
